What you need
- A MetSci / Helium LNS account at console.meteoscientific.com
- HNT or DC for network usage (see MetSci billing docs)
- A LoRaWAN device and (for most setups) a Helium-compatible gateway
Steps
- Sign in to the MetSci Console and create or select a tenant.
- Create an application under that tenant to group devices.
- Add a device profile matching your device’s region (e.g. US915) and LoRaWAN version.
- Register the device with DevEUI, AppEUI/JoinEUI as required, and keys (OTAA recommended).
- Configure integrations (HTTP webhook, etc.) if you need uplinks in your own stack.
- Verify uplinks in the console event log after the device joins.
Helium-specific notes
- Devices join through the Helium network; coverage depends on local Hotspots.
- If join fails, confirm your device’s sub-band / channel plan matches the region and gateway behavior.
